Durban has been host to a number of high action filming that involves the use of weapons, stunt and special effects. The Durban Film Office requires a special application for these activities and related applications can be made through the online Permit Application Facility. .
All SFX applications must be submitted by an approved South African SFX Supervisor.
Time frames for processing these permissions will vary according to complexity and location. It is advisable to make these applications well in advance.
